    Welcome to
    Antiques & Moore!
This listing is for a nice American Art Pottery Standard Glaze small footed floral decorated jardiniere, c. late 1800's-early 1900's.
Measures 4 3/4" high and 5 3/8" wide (at opening). Weighs 1.5 pounds.
This lovely dark brown highly glazed jardiniere is decorated with a  hand painted flower in dark orange with green foliage. The rounded body sits on four low feet. The base is unmarked except for an incised shape/design number "203-4".
This lovely vase is a great cabinet piece and is in excellent Estate condition free of crazing with no chips, cracks or repairs.
The type standard glaze pottery was made in American by several prominent factories in and around the Jamesville, Ohio area from the late 19th to early 20th Century. Without having an identifying stamp it's difficult to know which factory produced this piece as standard glaze art pottery was made by the J. B. Owens Company, Roseville, Weller as well as the at Rookwood factory. The method of numbering as found on the base was often used by Roseville but we can't be certain the maker.
