    Description

    J B Owens Pottery Standard Utopian Bottle Vase, Brown with Orange & Green Leaves
    Pretty bottle vase with small neck. Nicely decorated with orange & green foliage. Utopian was Owen's first art pottery line, in a glossy brown glaze with hand painted designs under the glaze, similar to other makers' "standard glaze" ware of the era. Introduced in 1896.
    Condition:  No chips, cracks or repairs. A few small scratches to the glaze, overall fine crazing.
    Marks:  Impressed shape mark 127, faintly impressed Owens Utopian (not legible), other faint numbers.
    Dimensions:  7 1/4" high, 3 1/2" deep.
