    Description

    120mm Fan Covers / Guards / Grills,
    Square Metal Cover,
    105mm hole spacing
    (Quantity 1)
Please note that the fan dimensions are the measurement from outside edge to outside edge of the fans,
    not the hole-to-hole spacing
. The fan guards I'm selling here are for 120mm square fans only.
These metal guards are 120mm (about 4.72") from the outside edge to outside edge.
I think the hole to hole dimension is also important, but you can look forever trying to find it.  I searched everywhere on the internet trying to verify this dimension.  What I found was the usual ― a lot of baloney from guys who really didn't know what they're talking about. So I measured the hole spacing, both on some 120mm fans and on these guards. As best I could measure, the answer I got for the hole spacing on 120mm fans:  about 105mm (about 4.13").
Also, as far as I know, the standard sizes for square computer-style fans are 40mm, 80mm, 92mm, and 120mm.
This 120mm fan guard is for one of these standard sizes; please make sure this is the size you need.
These covers have a couple of differences from some of the other fan covers that I sell. You can see the first of these in all four of these photos.  It is about a 2mm depression in the middle of the cover. Its purpose is to raise the cover off the fan itself so that there is no danger of the fan's blades hitting the cover. The second difference can't be seen in the top two photos but can be seen in the two photos below. It is the two flanges on one end of the cover. Their purpose is to fit the cover to the edge of the fan on one side so that it kind of locks itself into place. It's kind of handy, and it seems to fit well on every fan I've tried it on.
The two tabs, shown in the photos above and below, fit onto one edge of most fans.  However, if they don't fit into your application, you can simply bend each one back and forth a few times and break it off rather easily.
In order to avoid confusion, I'm including a photo of a 120mm fan below.  (There is some parallax in the photo between the top edge of the fan and the ruler. Rest assured, the exact dimension across either side of this fan is 120mm.)
The fan is not included in this sale; it is shown here for reference only.
